Cookie Policy

vanpul.com | MVP2 BV/SRL, trading as van Pul & Thieltgen

Version 1.0 | Effective date: 19 August 2026

1. Purpose of this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on vanpul.com, what those technologies do, and how you can control them.

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we process personal data. Where a cookie allows us to process personal data, the Privacy Policy applies to that processing as well.

The use of cookies is governed by Article 129 of the Belgian Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications, which implements the ePrivacy Directive, and, where personal data is processed, by the General Data Protection Regulation.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the website to recognise your device, to remember your choices, and in some cases to collect information about how you use the site.

This policy also covers technologies that work in a similar way, such as pixels, tracking tags, local storage and software development kits. For simplicity we refer to all of them as cookies.

Cookies may be placed by us, in which case they are called first party cookies, or by a third party whose service is embedded in our website, in which case they are called third party cookies. A cookie may be a session cookie, deleted when you close your browser, or a persistent cookie, which remains on your device for a defined period.

3. Our approach to consent

We place strictly necessary cookies without asking for your consent, because the website cannot function without them. This is permitted by law.

All other cookies, including analytics and marketing cookies, are placed only after you have given your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent.

This means in practice that:

  • no non-essential cookie is placed before you make a choice on the banner;
  • refusing is as easy as accepting, and both options are presented with equal prominence;
  • continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the banner does not amount to consent;
  • you may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
  • we keep a record of the consent you gave, so that we can demonstrate it.

4. Categories of cookies

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the website to operate. They enable core functions such as page navigation, security, load balancing and the correct submission of the contact form, and they record the cookie choices you make. The website cannot be provided properly without them, so they are placed without consent and cannot be disabled through our banner.

4.2 Functional cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make, such as your preferred language, in order to offer you an improved experience. They are placed only with your consent.

4.3 Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are consulted most often, so that we can improve its content and structure. They are placed only with your consent.

4.4 Marketing and social media cookies

These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of professional communications, to enable content sharing on social networks, or to display relevant content on third party platforms. They are placed only with your consent.

5. Cookies used on vanpul.com

The table below lists the cookies placed on our website, their purpose, their duration and the category to which they belong.

6. How to give, refuse or withdraw your consent

When you visit our website for the first time, a banner invites you to accept all cookies, to refuse all non-essential cookies, or to choose category by category.

You may change or withdraw your choice at any time through the link entitled Cookie settings, available in the footer of every page of the website. Withdrawing your consent stops the further use of the cookies concerned. It does not affect the lawfulness of the use that took place before you withdrew it.

7. Managing cookies through your browser

Independently of our banner, you can configure your browser to refuse cookies, to delete cookies already stored, or to warn you before a cookie is placed. The relevant settings are usually found under Privacy or Security in your browser preferences.

Please note that blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may prevent parts of our website from working properly.

Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode, which deletes cookies automatically at the end of each session.

8. Third party cookies and transfers outside the EEA

Some cookies are placed by third party providers whose services are embedded in our website. Those providers process the data collected in accordance with their own privacy policies, over which we have no control. We encourage you to consult them.

Certain of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area or rely on infrastructure located outside it. Where that is the case, the transfer takes place on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission, of standard contractual clauses, or of the recipient’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable. Further information is available in section 7 of our Privacy Policy.

No cookie belonging to a third party provider is placed before you have given your consent.

9. How long your choice remains valid

We keep a record of your cookie choices for 12 months. After that period we ask you again, so that your consent remains current.

We also retain proof of the consent given, in accordance with our accountability obligations, for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance.

10. Changes to this policy

We may amend this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to our website, to the tools we use or to applicable legislation. The most recent version is always available on our website, and the version number and effective date at the top of this document indicate when it was last updated.

Where a change concerns the placing of new non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
