Our True North: Sustainable Leadership

The concept of True North* is our overruling principle.  It affects how we conduct ourselves, how we deal with others. It is the notion that we stay focused on one objective, no matter what the hurdles are. That objective is Sustainable Leadership.

The keyword here is “sustainable”.  All advice we give needs to come with a true mid- and long-term perspective. Go beyond the transaction. Go beyond the match. Are we making a lasting difference?  Are we creating real value for all parties involved?

* True North is a navigational point on a gyro compass – an unchanging point of reference and grounding, despite shifting conditions and turbulent environments. An ordinary compass finds magnetic North easily – but is unreliable because Magnetic North changes with time and location. True North never wavers.

Focus - we only do what we do well

We focus on c-level positions. We only accept a mandate if we are confident about our access to the appropriate talent.  We take pride in referring client organisations to the best specialists if we believe others are better positioned to match a client requirement.   We are determined to stay specialists ourselves, and our services are centered around one promise: the identification and integration of new leadership talent for our client organisations.

We measure our success on a candidate’s continued performance. We take personal responsibility in making sure that ‘candidates stick’.  The integration process following the placement, the mentoring and coaching of clients and new executives, is an integral part of every mandate conducted in partnership with van Pul & Thieltgen.
